Video Tools
Eight free browser-based tools for video and audio files. Nothing is uploaded — everything runs on your device.
How browser-based video tools work
All tools on this page use your browser's built-in Web Audio API, Canvas API and MediaRecorder API to process files directly on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
The trade-off is speed. A dedicated app like HandBrake or FFmpeg uses GPU acceleration and is orders of magnitude faster. For occasional use — extracting a clip, capturing a frame, pulling audio from a meeting recording — the browser approach is fine. For a 2-hour film, use a native app.
Supported formats
MP4 (H.264) works in every browser. WebM works in Chrome and Firefox. MOV works in Safari. MKV support varies by browser and codec. When in doubt, convert to MP4 first.
