Multi-Leg Baggage Allowance Checker

On a multi-airline itinerary, your baggage allowance is only ever as generous as its most restrictive leg.

Leg 1 — airlineWeight limit (kg)Bags allowed

Leave leg 4's weight limit at 0 to exclude it — the tool then compares only legs 1–3.

Pack to your weakest leg

A common mistake on multi-airline itineraries is packing to the most generous limit you saw anywhere, then discovering a smaller regional or budget partner enforces a much tighter allowance on one connecting flight. Enter every leg's limit here and pack to whichever one is lowest.

Weight limits and bag counts can bind independently

One leg might have the lowest weight limit while a different leg has the lowest bag count allowance — the checker reports both constraints separately so you know exactly which number governs which decision.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the most restrictive leg matter for the whole trip?

If any single leg of your itinerary enforces a lower weight limit or fewer free bags than the others, you need to pack to that stricter limit for the entire trip — otherwise you risk an overweight or extra-bag fee on just that one leg, even if every other leg would have allowed more.

What if two legs tie for the most restrictive limit?

The checker flags every leg that matches the most restrictive weight limit or bag count, since packing to satisfy one of them automatically satisfies the other — but you should still confirm both airlines apply the same rule the same way.

Does this account for connecting airlines with interline agreements?

Some airline alliances or codeshare partnerships apply a single "through" baggage allowance across connecting flights on one ticket. Check whether your itinerary has an interline baggage agreement before assuming each leg's limit applies separately — this tool assumes each leg's limit applies on its own unless you know otherwise.

Should I leave an empty leg blank?

Yes — leave any unused leg's weight limit at 0 and it's excluded from the comparison, so you can check itineraries with anywhere from two to four legs.
