Watermark Adder
Stamp a text or logo watermark onto any photo.
Text or logo, your choice
Upload a base photo, then either type custom watermark text — choosing font size, color and opacity — or upload a small logo image to overlay instead. Position it at any of nine grid points, or tile text repeatedly across the whole frame.
Rendered pixel-for-pixel on canvas
Everything is composited using the Canvas 2D drawing API: the base photo is drawn first, then the text or logo is layered on top with your chosen opacity, before the whole thing is exported as a new PNG you can download.
Frequently asked questions
Can I tile the watermark across the whole photo?
Yes — switch on “Tile watermark” in text mode and your text repeats in a diagonal pattern across the entire image, which makes it much harder to crop the watermark out compared to a single corner stamp.
Can I use my own logo instead of text?
Yes — switch to “Logo image” mode and upload a second image (ideally a PNG with a transparent background). Scale and opacity work the same way as text mode, and you can place it at any of the nine grid positions.
Will the watermark show up if someone screenshots the image?
A visible watermark rendered onto the pixels, like the ones this tool creates, becomes part of the image itself — it survives screenshots, format conversion and re-saving, unlike metadata-only watermarking.
What's a reasonable opacity to use?
Somewhere around 40–70% opacity is a common sweet spot: visible and legible enough to deter reuse, but not so opaque that it distracts from the photo underneath. Tiled watermarks usually look better a bit lighter than single-position stamps.
